A site that works for everyone.
How we design for access, where we are still improving and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment
MarkWester wants this website to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. This statement is general information about our approach.
The standard we aim for
We design and build the site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our guide. This is a goal we work toward, not a claim of certified conformance.
What we have built in
Steps we take across the site include:
- A “skip to content” link and a logical heading structure on every page
- Navigation and menus that work with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers
- Form fields with visible labels and clear required markers
- Strong color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Respect for reduced-motion settings in your operating system
- Layouts that adapt to small screens and to browser zoom
Known limitations
Some content, such as older documents, photos with complex detail or third-party material, may not yet meet every guideline. We review the site as it changes and fix issues as we find them.
Tell us what gets in your way
If any part of this site is hard to use, email conversation@markwester.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology you use. We will reply, work on a fix and, where we can, get you the information another way in the meantime.
Updates to this statement
We will update this statement as we improve the site. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Something in your way?
Email us with the page and the problem. A member of our team will reply and work on a fix.
