Keeping the grid energized while we build.

Substation rebuilds, transmission and distribution lines, and grid upgrades delivered bay by bay, inside the outage windows the system operator can give.

What owners need from us.

01

Outages are scheduled by others

Clearances are granted by the system operator and can move with load and weather. The construction plan has to flex around them without losing the critical path.

02

Energized work is unforgiving

Crews work next to live buses and lines. Approach distances, switching orders and temporary grounding have to be planned and verified every day.

03

Equipment has long lead times

Power transformers, breakers and relay panels can take longer to arrive than the build takes. Procurement decides the schedule.

Power & Utilities

What we build.

  1. 01

    Transmission substations

New yards, bay additions and full rebuilds: foundations, steel structures, bus work, grounding grids and control enclosures.

  2. 02

    Distribution substations

Compact stations for growing load, with transformers, switchgear and feeder exits to the street.

  3. 03

    Transmission and distribution lines

Structure foundations, steel poles and lattice towers, conductor stringing and reconductoring on existing rights-of-way.

  4. 04

    Grid hardening and upgrades

Relay and control replacements, breaker change-outs and storm-hardening work on aging systems.

How we deliver here.

The capabilities owners in this market rely on most.

Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC)Deliver

One contract for engineering, transformer and breaker procurement, and field construction through energization.

Supply Chain ManagementPlan

Early release and expediting of long-lead power equipment so it is on site before the outage is granted.

Self-Performed ConstructionBuild

Our own crews for drilled piers, structure foundations, grounding grids and steel erection.

Building SystemsBuild

Protection and control wiring, relay testing and commissioning support so every bay energizes cleanly.

In practice · Transmission Substation Modernization

A 345 kV substation rebuilt one bay at a time.

The substation modernization was delivered under an EPC contract. Each bay was built, tested and energized inside its own planned outage before the next was taken out of service, and the grid saw no unplanned outage from the work.

Questions owners ask us.

How do you work inside an energized substation?

Every day starts with a review of the switching order, approach distances and grounding plan. Work zones are marked, temporary grounds are verified and nothing proceeds without the utility’s clearance in hand.

What happens if an outage window moves?

We sequence the work so each bay has prepared alternates. If a clearance slips, crews shift to foundations, cable trench or other work outside the fence while the plan is reset.

Can you procure transformers and breakers for us?

Yes. Our supply chain team can release and track long-lead power equipment early, with factory testing and delivery dates tied to the outage schedule.
