A multi-purpose arena built on a 26-month schedule around a fixed opening-night date.
The opening-night date was announced before the first shovel hit the ground, and tickets were on sale long before the roof was on. An 18,000-seat arena needs a long-span roof, a full rigging grid and a building packed with systems, all on a schedule that ran through two hard winters. There was no float to give back.
The approach.

- 01
Planned from opening night back
The schedule was built in reverse from the first event, with every trade committing to its own milestones in pull-planning sessions.
- 02
Roof built on the ground
Long-span trusses were assembled at grade and lifted in large sections, cutting time spent working at height.
- 03
Winter enclosure
Temporary enclosure and heat kept interior trades working through January instead of waiting for spring.
- 04
Test events before the real one
Lighting, sound, concessions and crowd flow were rehearsed with full staff before opening night.
The outcome.
“When the date is printed on a ticket, the schedule stops being a plan. It becomes a promise.”
